The clock ticked almost to 5pm where the rain finally stopped! oh gosh!!!
We went straight to the pool and play with Francie. The air filled with the 'perfumo' of the foods from the restaurants.. there we go.. we were like 'mmm

tonight's Theme @ The Penyu restaurant is 'Italian Theme' which is perfect for both of them and
we can't wait .. straight back to the room and get changed!
Yum Yum.. the smell is flying in the air! see, how hungry we are! we can eat a whole kalabau! haha
We had the Italian buffet. First round, I feed Francis with Gnocchi Formaggio. .She loved it and finished it! I start with a lovely Carpaccio red snapper fish, dinner bread, Gamberi
ni stewed, and few cheeses. For the 2nd, Francie had some of my Scalopini, Seabass fish, Artichoke insalata crema, zuppa, aragosta.. mmmm finger licking good... 3rd, I had some more of Scalopini and Aragosta (Sleeper Lobster). Few dinner bread with cheeses, Gamberini (Prawns) and finally had a wonderful Dolce (Dessert), Ice-cream (Affogato- Coffee with ice cream), uncounted round for mini cakes, and lastly satisfied, full, enjoyed and relax with a cup of coffee... aaahhh Good meal with a good timing and good environment... So, we were at the white sandy Beach.. we swam, played, made sand castle,'gira-gira' and Jacuzzi-ed! Francie loved the water... she played and paddle hard to make use the situation..
She likes more in the pool than the beach bcos she is quite scared of the small fishes in there.. 'kasian'.. We had drink at the pool bar, I had the [Honey Swing] but luckily didnt kena swing... :p

Despite the judges calling it as a knockout for David Archuleta on Tuesday night (a reference to the boxing theme the folks over at “American Idol” decided to push on us), it was a victory for David Cook last night, who became the newest American Idol.

Emotions ran high as the results were announced, with David Cook left in tears, and women all over America left swooning as he took the American Idol stage one last time.

The two Davids were favorites for the finale from very early on in the season. David Archuleta (17) wowed the judges with the maturity of his vocal stylings on songs like John Lennon’s Imagine, while David Cook (25) received recognition for his originality and ability to take risks that paid off in a big way, such as his unique renditions of Mariah Carey’s Always Be My Baby.

All three judges made clear that they thought David Archuleta had won the showdown Tuesday night, but polls leading up to the finale indicated that the public saw it a different way. A poll conducted by People showed that after over 60,000 votes, 66% thought that Cook would be the winning man. The people called it! Cook is said to have won by about twelve million votes.

Shortly before the results were announced Simon Cowell apologized to David Cook for his harsh criticisms the night before, and even conceded that it wasn’t at all as clear cut as he’d made it out to be and that he’d bordered on rude. David Cook looked as shocked as the rest of us were that Simon had found it him to give anyone an apology for anything, let alone for being rude.

We hope David Archuleta’s dad isn’t two broken up about the whole thing. Coming in second isn’t half bad- and something tells us there are a lot of young girls that will keep us from hearing the last of David Archuleta for very long time.

The Idol finale was a star-studded event with many memorable performances including one by George Michael, which left Paula Abdul in tears. And one of the most memorable moments of the night came at the very end when David Cook’s brother, in tears over his brother’s victory, leaned into the camera and mouthed, “That’s my brother.” Sigh. Now that’s enough to make us forgive the people at Fox for making us watch almost two hours of Idol before announcing the winner.

.. Still ...

Came across this song today and it reminds me to a very sweet and lovely friend long long time ago.. downloaded all the songs of Lionel for comforting my mind, spirit and body..! Didn't regret for what I've done today... songs downloading for a very very long hours... somehow,it's worth it! peeewwiiittt.... *jiwang*

STILL - Lionel R

Lady, morning's just a moment away
And I'm without you once again
You laughed at me
You said you never needed me
I wonder if you need me now

**
So many dreams that flew away
So many words we didn't say
Two people lost in a storm
Where did we go?
Where'd we go?

We lost what we both had found
You know we let each other down
But then most of all
I do love you
Still!

**
We played the games that people play
We made our mistakes along the way
Somehow I know deep in my heart
You needed me
'cause I needed you so desperately!
We were too blind to see
But then most of all
I do love you
Still!.

..the Cyclone...

Cyclone rips out by the roots

07.05.2008
Hundred of thousands of people were left homeless due to the Nargis Cyclone in Myanmar. Myanmar's military government has announced that they are willing to receive conditional aid. The death toll has been claimed to have reached 30,000 with a further 41,000 missing, nearly all of them from a massive storm surge that swept into the Irrawaddy delta.
Myanmar is now facing one of history's worst natural disasters. Myanmar's state radio has announced the death toll as a result of the Nargis cyclone as reaching 30,000. Forty-one thousand people are still missing. The cyclone that hit Myanmar levelled the nation's biggest city Yangon as well as the Irrawaddy region. Some villages were erased from the map. In the regions most affected by the cyclone there is no electricity or water and access is compromised. The United Nations' World Food Program began doling out emergency rice in Yangon and the first batch of more than $10 million worth of foreign aid arrived from Thailand on Tuesday, but a lack of specialized equipment slowed distribution. Despite the magnitude of the disaster -- the most devastating cyclone to hit Asia since 1991, when 143,000 people died in Bangladesh -- France said the ruling generals were still placing too many conditions on aid. "The United Nations is asking the Burmese government to open its doors. The Burmese government replies: 'Give us money, we'll distribute it'. We can't accept that," Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner told parliament. Of the dead, only 671 were in the former capital, Yangon, and its outlying districts, state radio said. The rest were all in the vast swamplands of the delta. "More deaths were caused by the tidal wave than the storm itself," Minister for Relief and Resettlement Maung Maung Swe told a news conference in the rubble-strewn city of five million, where food and water supplies are running low. ewspaper English edition>

Which for this cause, my tree and my 'baby Frangipani' Kaput!!!
What can I say*sigh*
Save the Tree!!!
Yesterday, Marcello and his friends has lifted back the tree back to its place..

But today, this strong wind has Kaputed my tree again!! Don't think it can be save this time :(

I've uploaded the 'Live' scene -tail of the NargisCyclone- this day. check it out :)

The next day, Marcello has decided to cut off the tree.. means to say cut off all the branches maybe because its not stable anymore.. since the root also coming out from the ground, I think it's a good idea..

...Festa della mamma..

Mother is just a simple word

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there... Cos you're special :)

...Italian Festa...

When it comes to Food & Wine.. mmmm everyone knows that Italians are the best!
My sister-in law and her husband came to Kota Kinabalu for the second time.. My thought and the only thought was "ahh..the Vini, Salumi, Salchichion, Proscuitos, Oliva di Tartufo..etc" AHHH.. just that!

When it comes to these tasteful, mouth-watering,extra special food.. nobody saying 'no' to them :p The very first day they arrived, we had salami and wines.. hmmmmm had one and then another one then another..... just cant stop!

u know what I mean...

We sat and chat until 4am. Oh what a night!!!

"can i eat while i sleep amore?" hehhe

This trip has turned awesomely, superbly and stupendo!!! All of us had a lots lots of F.U.N

We started our journey exactly mentioned @630am. I had my very 1st early morning breakfast for almost 3yrs now... yumm yumm, I just cant forget the taste and it's so original!I had my economy mee 70cents (few yrs back was 50cents) and additional with a 'chung kien' my favourite!!!!! Headed to Tuaran to meet the rest of the family. Stopped at the they called it 'a famous original Tuaran Mee' @ Lok Nyun kedai kopi. The shop half filled of our group. After 1 hour we moved and continue our journey to Kudat. It was 160km and another 2hours journey to reach Kudat. Sitting in the car, listening good tunes, eyeing beautiful scenery surrounds and enjoying the journey.

We reached the TipOfBorneo at around 11am. It was windy and quite a nice whether. We walked until the Ball Map point and then start to click our Camera!! Non-stop clicking it, posing here and there, looking and searching the best view, the best position and setting for our group foto. We took nearly 1hr+ for photo taking and then we headed to the beach for a break.

We found a nice spot for us to sit, relax, and have our lunch. Before having our lunch, we sang HappyBirthday song to my mom as her bday today. She loved it and enjoyed! The food was all 'wahlap' only by few minutes by all the hungers!!! Stomach is filled and now its time to go to swim!!! Everybody changed their gear, swimsuits, costume or what-ever-u-want-to-call-it... and then JUMP into the clear and blue sea. The time was @1pm. Wow, it was so nice and warm in the water but the sun is burning into our skin.. the waves were strong and we loved it! I let francesca to play sand castle with the other children as I quietly sneak-out from her sight so I can join the others to fight the wave!! HAHA It was so much fun and crazy dudes screaming in the ocean!!

Oh well, its time to go eventho we still wanna to swim and play. We cleaned up and get dressed. Feeling the vibrationis slowing down, tired eyes and knackered!!! Francesca straight away have her nap without waking up.. I believed she's tired! So are we.

We left on our own after that while others heading to Tuaran and some going to the Tradisional Rungus Longhouse but for me straighting back to Inanam... Arrived @630pm.. Francesca is awake and then back to Kingfisher.

Unpacked, showered and cleaned. And uplouding pictures and updating news article.

This is the end of the story of our Trip to Simpang Mengayau. Till then will organise another family outing event. Check out our cool pictures.
